How long were you a member of
PbNation before you became a mod?
I originally joined PBN sometime in 2001,
but I lost the password to that account so
I created calvman in 2002.
What’s your favorite sig quote?
While I don’t have a favorite, this one is
pretty good: “It’s not that I think stupidity
should be punishable by death. I just
think we should take the warning labels
off of everything and let the problem take
care of itself.”
What do your friends/family think of
you being a mod?
My wife knows how important my PBN
friends are but I didn’t even try to explain it
to my parents. I once tried to explain how
big PBN was to my sisters, I could see the
eyes glazing over. No one knows at my field
that I’m a moderator and that’s just fine
with me. I’d rather not have people know.

I want to acknowledge my first team, the
Phantom Regiment from Birmingham Alabama.

me be a part of PR. Of course, I want to thank
everyone at PBN who was there for me when

than I can put into words.

What sections do you frequent the most?
I can normally be found in the Diablo and
Ego forums.
Family shout outs.
My son is too young at this point to
appreciate a shout out.
How long have you been playing?
The first time was a college dorm trip in
the fall of 1990. We had a choice of shop
goggles or a welder’s shield. The rentals
were Nelson pumps with 10 round tubes.
If you were in charge, what
would you change?
More cowbell. And ‘read, think,
then post’ – in that order.
What section do you moderate?
I was first assigned to the Diablo forum
and that’s still where I call home.
I’m also officially assigned to ASM,
Chicago Farside, Dallas Elite, Eclipse,
Investments, Newbie Forum, NPPL, and
Tyler Michaud, as a mega-moderator, I
am able to moderate any forum on PBN.
