the doors unlock when you grasp the outside door
handle and lock when you press the Touch Sensor
in the handle. This system also turns on the ignition
by simply pushing the Power Button.
In preventing accidents, every fraction of a second
counts. A Heads-Up Display projects the speedometer
onto the windscreen directly in front of the
driver so that the driver can keep his or her eyes on
the road without having to look down at the console.
Fighter pilots use a similar type of technology where
losing attention, even for a split second, is simply not
an option.
An Emergency Brake Signal automatically flashes
the brake lights during sudden braking to warn
trailing vehicles of an emergency and therefore
reduces the danger of a rear end collision. The
system is activated when the driver presses on the
brake pedal while travelling at speeds over 55km/h
and the car decelerates at a rate of over 7m/s 2 .
In other words, the system is activated with sudden
braking.
Intelligent Parking Assist* helps drivers with steering
into a parking spot when they need to parallel park
or back in. The driver merely has to check the
surroundings for any objects and control the speed
with the brakes.
