the Departed
Saturday 13 October, Sky
Movies Premiere, 9.30pm
If you somehow missed last year’s
ultimate award-winning gangster
thriller, be sure to catch it tonight.
In this remake of the critically
acclaimed Chinese film Infernal Affairs,
Leonardo DiCaprio plays Boston cop
Billy Costigan who goes undercover to
get in with a feared gangster (acted to
perfection by Jack Nicholson).
Meanwhile, fellow cop Colin Sullivan
(Matt Damon) is on the crime boss’s
payroll. When they each realise that the
other’s a spy on the opposite team it
becomes a race to see who can expose
who first without dying in the process.
Long-cheated director Martin
Scorsese finally claimed his first Oscar
for this flick, which co-stars Mark
Wahlberg and Martin Sheen.
