ANDRETTI v. UNSER: ROUND THREE
Two of racing’s most famous families
continue to push new talent into the
pipeline, and the Indy Pro Series will
include an Andretti and an Unser full
time next year.
Adam Andretti, the 28-year-old
nephew of Mario Andretti and second
cousin of IndyCar Series driver Marco
Andretti, will be racing with financial
backing from Brunton Vineyards and the
Rev It Up Racing apparel company. Andretti
made his debut at the 2007 finale in
Chicagoland, where he looked set for a
top-10 finish before brushing the Turn 4
SAFER Barrier on lap 34. Andretti will also
be a competitor on the FOX reality series All
American Rookie.
Meanwhile, Al Unser III, the 24-yearold
son of two-time Indianapolis 500
winner Al Unser Jr. and grandson of fourtime
winner Al Unser Sr., is set to contest
the full 2008 Indy Pro Series schedule in
Live streaming video of all IndyCar Series and Indy Pro Series practice
and qualifying sessions plus Indy Pro Series races was hugely popular
this season. It’ll return for 2008, with enhancements to the viewer
experience.
