Due to overwhelming public demand, Eno revives mozart’s The
Magic Flute in 2009. national theatre Director nicholas Hytner’s
production has time and again delighted audiences with its blend of
knockabout humour and theatrical spectacle. a sparkling ensemble
is led by Sarah-Jane Davies as Pamina and robert murray as
tamino, with a welcome return to the company of celebrated British
bass, robert lloyd, in the magisterial role of Sarastro. In 2009
Eno will showcase some of the world’s most promising young
conductors, and first among them is Erik nielsen, making his
company debut in what has become ‘a well-established jewel of
Eno’s repertoire’. (Evening Standard)
