dilemma surrounding J. robert oppenheimer’s apocalyptic
invention, in a major new co-production between Eno and the
metropolitan opera, new york. In this uK premiere, award-winning
director Penny Woolcock’s imaginative staging will feature designs
by Julian crouch (Satyagraha) and moving images by Fifty-nine
Productions ltd. Dynamic young conductor lawrence renes leads
the Eno orchestra and chorus in what promises to be a night of
extraordinary creative potency.
