FASTER ROSTER
ALEX TAGLIANI (CAN)
Team TBA
Born Oct. 18, 1972
Height/weight
5ft8in/155lbs
Starts ICS 0, CCWS 131 Wins ICS 0,
CCWS 1 Poles ICS 0, CCWS 5
2007 Finished 10th in Champ Cars, with a
best result of fourth in Las Vegas.
The important stuff Alex Tagliani has
long been renowned as one of the
hardest working drivers in racing, spending
hours poring over data to improve himself
and discussing setups with his engineers to
improve the car. The Canadian, who made
his Champ Car debut back in 2000, is a
fine driver of ovals and road courses, but
particularly look out for him in wet track
conditions on those road courses.
This just in “Tag” credits his work ethic
to visiting the Canadian Formula 1 Grand
Prix at Montreal, sitting opposite the
McLaren pits, and watching late into the
evening as his hero Ayrton Senna worked
with his engineers.
ERNESTO VISO (VEN)
Team HVM Racing
Born March 19, 1985
Height/weight
5ft5in/135lbs
Starts 0 Wins 0 Poles 0
2007 Drove three races for Racing
Engineering in GP2, a series in which he’d
won two races the previous season.
The important stuff Famous worldwide
for his great escape in a shunt during the
GP2 race in France last year, Ernesto Viso
not only was a recognized talent in that
series, his credentials also include the U.S.
Barber Formula Dodge East Championship,
which he won in 2001. His oval-racing
experience will be much appreciated by
Keith Wiggins’ team.
This just in As the Spyker team’s third
driver at the 2006 Brazilian Grand Prix,
Viso became the first Venezuelan in 22
years to drive a contemporary F1 car.
MARIO MORAES (BR)
Team Dale Coyne Racing
Born Dec. 20, 1988
Starts 0 Wins 0 Poles 0
2007 Finished 14th in the
British Formula 3 Championship.
The important stuff Mario’s rise to this
level of the sport has been brief. Just five
years ago, he was kart racing in his native
Brazil, before finishing fourth in U.S.
Formula Renault. Two years of South
American Formula Renault, in which he
finished runner-up in 2006, led to last
year’s season in British Formula 3 with top
outfit Carlin Motorsport.
This just in Should Moraes get a podium
finish this year, he won’t be able to legally
sample the champagne.
MARCO
ANDRETTI (USA)
Team Andretti Green Racing
Born March 13, 1987
Height/weight 5ft6in/135lbs
Starts 31 Wins 1 Poles 0
2007 11th in points, with two second
places, and four other top-five placings.
The important stuff The son of Michael
and grandson of Mario, Marco Andretti
endured a difficult season in 2007,
including a couple of hairy upside-down
moments. But the kid knows the
difference between bad luck and bad
driving, and his confidence is undented.
His road course skills are among the best
and his ability on ovals isn’t in doubt,
either. Lightning rarely strikes twice, so
expect 2008 to be the year he matures
into a genuine title contender.
This just in Having just turned 21, the
next time Andretti wins a race, he’ll
actually be able to sip the champagne (tell
that to Mario Moraes!). Marco would
probably rather have milk though… For the latest driver

MILKA
DUNO (VEN)
Team Dreyer & Reinbold Racing
Born April 22, 1972
Height/weight 5ft4in/120lbs
Starts 7 Wins 0 Poles 0
2007 Ran a limited program with SAMAX
Racing, finishing three of seven races.
The important stuff Milka won over a lot
of fans last year with her effervescent
personality and her bravery and
commitment: the Indy 500 was only the
second IndyCar Series start of the
Venezuelan’s career! Milka is hoping that
being the most successful female racer in
sports car history (she has three Grand-Am
wins to her name) is a good foundation for
IndyCar Series success.
This just in Milka is also a qualified Naval
Engineer with four masters degrees, three
of which she earned simultaneously.
