in which he’s proven to be one of the world’s
most versatile drivers. In 2006, he scored
podiums in the IndyCarSeries, Grand-Am and
A1GP, before switching to RogerPenske’s
ALMS squad for’07. Two overallwins there
(three in class) and a fifth place forLuczo
Dragon Racing in the Indy 500 earned him his
call from the “The Captain.”

The important stuff Last year Ryan
Hunter-Reay came into the IndyCar Series
with just six rounds left to go. But with
three top-10 finishes and four top-10 grid
slots, he was quickly up to speed. Mind
you, this is a guy who, in the Champ Car
World Series, proved he could win on ovals
and street courses. Expect him to fight for
wins in 2008.
This just in Hunter-Reay will forever hold
the record for the most laps led in a Champ
Car race – all 250 of them at the
Milwaukee Mile in 2004.
