Catering for more than 600 covers in a sitting, Sodexo were
tasked with the project of finding a dishwasher solution that
would reduce the environmental impact and congestion
caused by the old system. This meant installing a completely
new wash up area, a conveyor belt system, state of the art
waste management system and a utensils washer – with the
added pressure to do so in just 3 weeks before term
started again.
A HOBART Flight Type Warewasher was chosen for its
energy saving capabilities, together with a HOBART UX
Utensil Washer and an Ecolo Waste Management System.
Why the FTP comes top of the class
It reduces water usage and has a more efficient wash system which results
in a lower chemical consumption of up to 80%.
The Heat Pump Systems will reduce the school’s energy consumption by up
to 23kW per hour and provide a reduction in CO2 emissions of 250,000kg.
The energy consumption to be saved offers a potential payback on investment
in less than 30 months – with savings of over £40k in 10 years.
The catering staff can now enjoy all the benefits of their new wash up system,
including a front loading HOBART UX Utensils Washer, meaning no more
bending over a steaming hot sink.
