WTM allows access
to delegate database Monday
World Travel Market (WTM)
has opened up its database of
delegates to all exhibitors for
the fi rst time.
If exhibitors invite
50% more of their invitee
allocation before the deadline
on September 14, they will
have access to My Invitations,
enabling them to see who
has been invited by other
exhibitors on the fi rst day
(Monday November 9).
The database allows
exhibitors to engage with preregistered
participants from
September 28. Previously,
exhibitors could only
communicate with the people
they had invited.
Following exhibitor and
participant feedback, the
deadline for exhibitor invitation
submissions has been
extended by four weeks to
September 14.
WTM chairman Fiona
Jeff ery said: “The invitation
submission extension allows
exhibitors to invite even
more of their key business
contacts, giving them more
time and greater fl exibility
when deciding who to invite
to attend WTM on Monday
November 9.”
A new admission policy,
introduced last year, led
to an overall increase in
visitor numbers, with 49,963
participants attending the
event – a 4% increase on 2007.

WTM exhibition director
Craig Moyes said: “Last year,
the new admission policy
created more fl exibility, allowing
participants to choose
which day they want to
attend WTM.
“The policy underpins
the value of WTM as a fourday
trade-only forum for the
travel and tourism industry,
and reinforces the signifi -
cance of delivering buyers
to exhibitors, while also
delivering a comprehensive
seminar conference and
event programme to all
WTM delegates.”
WTM is taking place at
ExCeL, London from Monday
November 9 to Thursday
November 12.
