Hofmann, a dynamic
balancing machine for rotors and an instrument
for measuring bearing unbalance in two planes.

CEMB Hofmann will be showing some
new additions for balancing applications,
highlighting the dangers of unbalance that
can contribute to mechanical failure, reduce
bearing life and increases noise pollution.
The Z20/B9 dynamic balancing
machine has been designed for rotors
weighing from 0.2 up to 30kg. The Z20
model can be table mounted or supplied
with a rigid base. Rotors are loaded on
anti-friction pedestals or roller bearings,
adjustable according to the size and type
of rotor to balance. The Z20 has been
designed with automatic indexing and
has an unusual belt drive system that can
be either over or under-slung.
The B9 measuring instrument is used
for hard or soft bearing balancing, to
indicate the amount of position of
unbalance in the required units on one or
two balancing planes.

Based on punching heads capable of up to 100
strokes/min coupled with high-grade dies and seats for
optimal functioning, Arnold & Shinjo systems feature
multi fastener distributors for up to eight punching
heads (standard and bespoke can be supplied), quickaction
couplings and simple torque testing
instruments.
