INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTION AWARD
Over the last few weeks the judges have been
busy conducting extensive interviews with
the 35 finalists of this year’s European
Supply Chain Excellence Awards. That’s
quite a task, as this is the biggest contest in
the 12-year history of the Awards. Now that
all the data is in, it’s down to ‘Judgement Day’
where the judging panel sit to decide on this
year’s winners.
Going by the feedback from the adjudicators
this is going to be the toughest year yet, and
looking at the companies shortlisted (see
below left), that’s hardly surprising.
Nominations have also been coming in for
the Individual Contribution Award and the
shortlist is shown below. This award goes to
people who have made an outstanding
contribution to the industry. Previous winners
include John Allan of Deutsche Post World Net.
Individual Contribution Award shortlist:
● Neil Ashworth, Tesco Direct

at Tesco Direct to deliver a class-leading supply chain.

logistics and medicine and charitable projects.
Only on the Awards Night, to be held on
Tuesday 28th October at the Grosvenor
House Hotel in London, will the winners be
announced. This is the biggest prize in supply
chain management in Europe, so leading
practitioners from across the continent and
senior management from related industries
attend to see the winners collect their
trophies and join in the largest networking
event of it’s type.
As at last year’s highly successful event, over
400 supply chain professionals are expected to
attend the Awards ceremony – that’s full
capacity for the venue. So it would be wise to
secure your booking now in order to avoid
disappointment.
