Product Development Engineer
Nottingham
Thomas and Betts have an exciting opportunity for a Product
Development Engineer. The successful candidate will be
responsible for new product design from concept to production.
Working as a key member of the Mechanical design team you
will generate concept ideas, specifications, 3D models,
detailed design documentation, prototype, tooling procurement
and production support.
To be considered for this role you will have excellent
communication skills, and have a high level of self
motivation. You will be an Engineering graduate or have a
HNC and/or relevant experience. 3D CAD experience using
Autodesk Inventor, knowledge of materials and manufacturing
methods and hands on experience of preparing production
information is desirable. Knowledge of injection mouldings,
metal folded parts and tool design would also be an advantage.

production of Power Transmission belts for the automotive and industrial markets.
Our continuing success has resulted in the following challenging opportunity.
TECHNICAL PROGRAMME MANAGER
Reporting to the UK Sales Account Manager this position is split between being based on
site with one of our key account customers within their Technical Research Centre in Essex
and working from home.
You will provide technical support and knowledge to our customers and will plan, control and
implement projects to meet their needs. This role also demands excellent communication
skills as you will interact with cross functional teams on a global scale.
Educated to Degree level or equivalent with a bias towards Mechanical Engineering you will
have experience of working within the Automotive Market. A proven track record of Project
Management and a high level of customer experience is essential. Experience of working
with CAD, IDEAS or WERS software applications would be advantageous.
This position although based in Essex will require some travel in both the UK and Europe.
