development strategy and wish to enhance our already successful operational teams through the recruitment of a Production Engineering
Manager and Production Engineers.
Production Engineering Manager (Based at Leeds)
Reporting to the Leeds Production Director this role will have first line
responsibility for both process development and new product introduction
at the Leeds operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Day-to-day managerial responsibility for a team of up to twelve
production engineers.
• Co-ordination of new product introduction programmes in the Leeds
facility.
• Driving continuous process improvement projects against key QCD
targets in the Leeds facility.
• Board level presentations and updates on both improvement and
N.P.I programmes.
• Group wide co-ordination on engineering issues to ensure standard
systems and practices.
• Capital improvement project management.
To succeed in this position you will be degree qualified (or have a recognised
engineering qualification) with previous managerial experience and a proven
track record in New Product Introduction within a technology led
manufacturing environment. Experience of using CAD and document
management systems is an essential requirement. Knowledge and/or
experience of 3D modelling would be advantageous.

manufacturing environment.

Production Engineers (Based at Leeds or Doncaster)
Working as a member of the production engineering team, you will have a key
role in both operational process improvement and key product development
programmes.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Application of Lean manufacturing and SPC techniques to production processes.
• Using CAD.
• Organising, planning, commissioning and maintaining production lines.
• Improving existing operations, incorporating new methods and processes.
• Investigating operational problems affecting production and dealing with
them in a systematic and methodical manner.
• Preparing manufacturing documentation required for product manufacture.
• Identifying ways to reduce production costs.
• Tooling design.
• Knowledge or experience of ether forging or machining process would be
advantageous (Doncaster positions only)
To succeed in this position you will ideally be a degree qualified Engineer
(or have a recognised engineering qualification) with experience within a
technology led manufacturing environment. Experience of using CAD and
document management systems is an essential requirement. Knowledge
and/or experience of 3D modelling would be advantageous.
