DIBA
Diba Industries has expanded its line of Click-N-Seal connection
fittings to suit a wider range of fluid connection types.
Previously only available for flared connections, Click-N-Seal now
comes in a Ferrule line to prevent over-tightening of these
fittings in Scientific and IVD instruments. Designed for Bio-
Chem Fluidics’ Omnifit Gripper, Type S and inverted cone
ferrules, the reusable fittings provide objective feedback to
prevent excess torque. The fitting can be unthreaded and reused,
stopping at the correct torque every time
AITKEN SCIENTIFIC

pharmaceutical company improve the efficiency of powder checkweighing
during the manufacture of Dry Powder Inhalers. Aitken
Scientific’s check weighing system extends an existing software
investment with new process control and a more robust weighing
platform. The new system, makes weighings 30% faster while also
meeting more rigorous health and safety requirements. The increased
throughput also means a long-term cost saving, extending the time
between maintenance cycles and reducing downtime.

PRECISION MICRO
ABB LIMITED
ABB Limited has moved its Didcot instrumentation factory to 9
Moorbrook, Southmead Industrial Park, offering an expanded
production facility for its Aztec range. The Aztec business was
acquired in 2007 by ABB as part of its drive to offer customers
the wisest portfolio of analytical products for water and waste
water treatment applications. From the new premises, ABB will
continue to serve its established UK and European markets for
the Aztec range whilst also providing the platform to expand
penetration of developing countries.
Precision Micro is determined to correct the misconception that photo
etching is simply a manufacturing method for short volume
requirements, by developing a facility for high volume production.
Located close to Precision Micro’s new Birmingham production plant,
the facility has been designed for flexibility with an ability to meet all
quantity requirements. Benefits of the high volume machines include
their ability to accommodate large sheet sizes, churning components
out by the million, with certain machines even being dedicated to the
production of a single specific part.
