This is part of a Cogent SSC offer which includes
free advice, as well as fully-funded or low-cost
training.
It provides for flexibilities to the LSC’s Train to Gain
funding. Employers can now access funding for
additional level 2 and level 3 qualifications.
This is great news as Train to Gain has traditionally
been available only for the first full level 2
qualification.
The offer is directed at the specific skills needs of the
sector and includes:
• A range of technical qualifications which embed
skills for competitiveness within companies
• General qualifications such as business
administration and team leading
• Training in business improvement techniques
• Training in management and leadership
• Apprenticeships

Cogent recognises that many companies are feeling

investment in people so that organisations are even
stronger when times improve.
Employers can access the fund and the free advice
through a Train to Gain skills broker or Cogent’s
partner the National Skills Academy Process

understand your business’s skills needs and direct you
to the right solutions through Train to Gain and a
network of high-quality training providers.
