INCENTIVE INCENT CRUISING
Hurtigruten is renowned for its
comprehensive and adventurous
voyages offering close encounters
with spectacular scenery, captivating
wildlife and local communities along the
shorelines.
The Hurtigruten (Norwegian Coastal
Voyage) ships have been part of Norway’s
lifeline for more than a century. Beneath
the dazzling Midnight Sun, or the mystical
Northern Lights, daily departures across
the Arctic Circle take one right to the heart
of coastal Norway.
Calling at 34 ports, most never visited
by commercial cruise liners, the ships
deliver freight, post, essential supplies and
passengers to remote communities, some
of which are home to just a few hundred
people.
Sailing along some of the world’s most
beautiful coastlines, through magical
fjords to enchanted islands; one will enjoy
a genuine, friendly and unpretentious
voyage which is truly Norwegian.
Each season offers its own charm. In
spring, warmth returns to the shores of
Norway and sunlight rejuvenates life
along the coastline. Come summer, the
“Land of the Midnight Sun” truly lives up
to its name. The intense, extended daylight

Circle, makes every Norwegian “night” a
joy to behold.
As summer fades, watch the coastline
shift from one beautiful season to another.
Winter is a special time to explore
Norway’s northern reaches. The landscape
is covered in pure white snow and the
night sky teases one with the chance
of witnessing the spectacular Northern
Lights. Each season casts its own spell on
the Norwegian coastline.
The cruise line offers a wide selection of
excursions which ensures that one gets as
close as possible to the “real” Norway.
In summer, voyage into the famous
Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage
Site, where one can join an excursion
ashore and weave through hair-pin bends
to overlook one of the world’s longest
fjords. Waterfalls cascade down the cliffs
that rise 1 400m above the Norwegian
Sea, into some 500m of water below.
Journey to the North Cape rising 300
metres from the sea and bear witness to
Europe’s northernmost point.

about the everyday life of the modern

music at a Norwegian folk evening. See the
