Waterjet Group on the move
THE Waterjet Group will also be exhibiting in Paris under the NWAA
umbrella. Committed to developing a stronger presence in the European
market the group will be working with the Alliance to harvest new
opportunities at the show; and it will arrive at the show boasting one of the
largest capacities in Europe following the completion of its move to a single a
purpose-built facility in Darton near Leeds.
At the new site Waterjet Profiles, formerly based in Basildon, will now
share some facilities with its sister company Waterjet Technology which was
already based at the northern site.
This will not only create a streamlined cost base, but also give access to a
greater range and capacity of waterjet cutting machinery and larger, secure
stocking facilities with the following benefits:
■ Both companies accredited and approved to : AS9100, ISO9001, Airbus,
BAE Systems, Bombardier, Doncaster, EADS, GE (Smiths), GKN, Rolls Royce,
Westland Helicopters.
■ Over £2 million recently invested in profiling and value-add equipment.
■ Full service provision for all hard metals, titanium, nickel alloys and
composite materials.
■ An option on a further 38,000 sq ft of space at Darton for future growth.
■ Joint ventures with strategic partners.
Both companies now combine their expertise and capabilities under one roof,
which the company says will confirm its position as one of the largest
abrasive waterjet profiling companies in Europe, with a growing global
presence.
