A letter from the editors
Volume Magazine is a quarterly publication that exists purely to publish and promote new
artists, writers, designers and musicians. We aim to support as many new creatives as
possible by showcasing work and providing free space to exhibit.
This season we came to sunny Birmingham to scout creative talent. We discovered a
massive creative scene bubbling with exciting new works. The aim of our partnership with
Aston Villa FC is to unite sport with the arts and embody this in a publication. Both things
inform, educate and entertain within a community, but the two rarely meet. We’ve done this
issue to introduce these two worlds to each
other in the hope that they might work as
one in the future.
We have really enjoyed putting this issue
together and feel lucky to have been exposed
to so much new creativity. Volume wouldn’t
be possible without the help of a wonderful
network of contributors. Their time, attention
to detail and remarkable ideas have been
staggering. We would like to thank each
and every individual for supporting our
cause by submitting work; (we couldn’t
do it without you). If you would like to join
this creative network or find out more about contributing your own style to our pages,
