Emerson Process
Management has
appointed Paul Smith as
general manager, UK and
Ireland, based at the
company’s UK offices in
Stockport. He takes over
from Mark Dutton who, after three years
at the helm, has been appointed vice
president general manager of
Emerson’s Daniel Measurement and
Control division in Europe. Before
joining Emerson, Smith was a European
business manager for Rockwell
Automation MPS Group, having
previously been country business leader
for Honeywell Process Solutions, UK &
Ireland. He has an MBA from the Open
University in the UK.
Edwin van den Maagdenberg is the
new vice president and general
manager for Honeywell Process
Solutions (HPS) in Europe, the Middle

East and Africa (EMEA). Van den
Maagdenberg was formerly regional
general manager for Process Solutions
in Northern Europe. He replaces Norm
Gilsdorf, who was promoted to
president of Honeywell Process
Solutions. He joined HPS in 1988 and
has since held leadership positions in
sales, project operations and general
management. Van den Maagdenberg,
who holds a bachelors degree in
electrical engineering, has also worked
for Vonk Systems as sales manager for
Middle East and Africa.
Black & Veatch has
appointed Arthur Close as a
sales director within the
company’s energy business,
where he will support
business development
across the Middle East,
India, Europe and Africa. Close was
previously business development

refining. He earned a bachelor’s degree
in chemical engineering from

Management College.
Leading engineer Keith
Millard has become the
124th president of the
global engineering body,
the Institution of
Mechanical Engineers
(IMechE). He has held senior
roles at Ewbank and Partners in Saudi
Arabia, Gilbert Associates, Balfour
Beatty and Parson Group International.

Joins MWH from AECOM Australia and brings top-level expertise in pipeline condition
assessment, non-destructive testing, service life prediction and asset management.
Lehmann brings a track record of developing customer focus, growing sales and expanding
business markets from the companies with whom he has served during the last 20 years. Most
recently he was president & CEO of Spectronic Denmark, a developer and manufacturer of
surveillance systems. Prior to this, Lehmann was director of product marketing and
communication at Brüel & Kjær Sound & Vibration Measurement A/S.
He was previously sales manager at power press manufacturer Aida, where he helped to develop
the long term strategic sales base, and strategic account manager for Minster, a US power press
company. More recently, he was managing director for Clifton Precision Tools Ltd, which he
developed from an automotive tooling company to an engineering business working within the
aerospace automotive, rail and white goods industries.
Replacing Per Nordgren who resigned from the position while joining the company's board of
directors. Lindblom, who had been president for Bosch Rexroth AB since 2001, has extensive
experience of the hydraulic industry, including broad international experience from his work within
Bosch Rexroth.
He joins from OXY Systems, where he led sales and business development activities for an
emerging networking-based mobile music application. Prior to that, Guha led the business
development activities for the products division of Avaya, where his group was responsible for the
strategic alliances and M&A related activities. Guha had also previously served as vice president
of business development for the IP Cable Group at ADC Telecom.
With a BEng (Hons) in engineering, he has a wealth of industry experience, joining Airchannel
from Atlas Copco Compressors Ltd, where he was Multibrand divisional manager. In his 12 years
at Atlas, his responsibilities included the continued development of the Worthington and Mark
compressor brands in the UK.
