Enhanced UK Presence
In June 2007 Air Liquide UK acquired the business activities of
Linde Gas UK. This has had an immediate and positive effect,
allowing Air Liquide to almost double the size of its UK
operation. The two businesses are highly complementary,
offering significant synergies which will allow the enlarged
business to grow and strengthen our position as a major force
in the UK industrial and medical gas markets. More importantly,
the acquisition of additional production units has expanded the
range of products and services available to our customers,
significantly enhancing our capabilities within the UK.
Air Liquide now has an even wider range of value-added gases,
equipment and services aimed at providing innovative solutions
for our customers. Looking to the future, a larger company will
allow us to increase our ambitions through more rapid
deployment of the Air Liquide Group’s considerable global
resources and expertise.
As a specialist in welding, cutting and coating, Air Liquide offers
solutions which combine gases, equipment, services and
consumables in processes which are being continually improved
in its research centres. Drawing on years of experience in the
