It’s precisely six months since
UNKLE and Carl Cox
headlined the opening
weekend of matter, the
purpose-built music venue
housed within the The O 2.
Half a year has flown by with
thousands of people passing
through the venue’s doors,
accolades from leading music
magazines, stunning nights
embodying a wide range of
musical genres and
experiences, and corporate
events that have helped
underline matter’s versatility
and suitability for
experiences beyond the reach
of other venues.
The matter project began 3
years ago when The O 2’s
owners AEG approached the
founders and directors of
Farringdon’s famously cutting
edge Fabric nightclub,
Cameron Leslie and Keith
Reilly, to create a bespoke,
credible, forward-thinking
entertainment venue.
With the venue continuing to
evolve, 2009 is set to be a key
year for one of the most
exciting venues in the capital.
